The Alumni Association accepts donations to help purchase items for the police department. Members of the Tinley Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association recently presented the Tinley Park Police Department with K9 first-aid backpacks, Narcan kits and goggles for the department's new K9 dogs, Helmut and Ron. National Night Out is an annual event celebrated across the country that promotes police/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Residents came out to meet and greet local public safety teams and enjoy live music and a magic show. The Tinley Park Police Department recently held its National Night Out celebration at Freedom Park.
